Preventive Maintenance

A Preventive Maintenance Service Contract is an excellent and cost effective way to maintain your laboratory instruments on a scheduled basis. Included in the PM contract are two preventive maintenance inspections per year as well as the parts associated with the inspections. Also included is unlimited telephone technical support.

The Preventative Maintenance Program is important for increased life and functionality of your equipment. The purpose is to test, adjust, clean and look for potential problems, but does not cover the cost of repairs. If a problem is discovered during maintenance, you will be notified with the estimated cost of repair, including labor charges.

Each type of equipment has different parts that will need checking or cleaning.  Below is a list of items that could be checked on your unit.

Verify temp and speed accuracy on equipment.
Check all tubing and hoses for damage.
Perform electrical safety check.
Inspect all power cords for insulation damage.
Clean and lube all cooling fans and vents/screens.
Check over-temp circuits on ovens.
Check all indicators and panel lamps for operation.
Lubricate all moving parts that require grease
Check for safety guards and broken glass
Ensure equipment is operating properly.
Verify Co2 with fyrite on Incubators.
Check oil levels on vacuum pumps.
Check alarm system/bulbs/battery/power relay
Check calibration of temperature controller and calibrate
Check gaskets
Check all refrigerant lines
Check electrical connections & amps.
